ABOUT THE COLLEGE

In 1980, the Lord Jesus spoke to His servant Revd. (Dr.) Emmanuel Onofurho to start a Bible School where His ministers can be trained and sent to preach the gospel all over the world. In pursuit of this vision, this Institution was established in 1981 as a part-time school. At that time, lectures were held twice a week in the evenings. The interdenominational nature of the programme attracted students and lecturers from various churches in Warri and environs. The full time school began in 1987. It was named Christian Leadership and Missions Institute (CLMI) with five pioneer students in the Diploma programme. In 1987, the part time and full time schools were brought together under one management. In efforts to improve the school and enhance growth, the name was changed in December, 1994, to Harvesters Theological College (HTC). In 2011 the name was changed to Souls Harvesters Theological College. This has led to the admission of students from various denominations all over Nigeria and other West African countries.
The College is owned by the Souls Harvesters Ministries Inc. Warri. This Christian Organization was founded in 1970 as a result of Christian students from some institutions meeting with some Christians in Warri for Bible studies. After a while they inaugurated a fellowship called “The Youths Evangelical Movement. Later in 1974 the name was changed to Souls Harvesters Ministries. The college was then established to provide training for church workers, ministers and missionaries to enhance ministerial work. Since its inception, the college has produced seasoned men and women for the ministry. Most of these products are still faithful ministers in full time ministries while others are very committed Christians serving faithfully and joyfully in their churches and places of work to the glory of God.
The college provides training for Church workers, Ministers, Evangelists, Missionaries, Theologians and any Christian desirous to know more about the Lord Jesus Christ.
